At times, young children can become over excited, or really focussed on a certain task. Busy bags can not only help harness this enthusiasm but can also be used to support the next steps of development.

Busy bags are also a non-confrontational tool to help support children to better control their emotions and frustrations.

Busy Bags can be created quite cheaply and easily and can be used to help manage behaviour as well as further development in a variety of different ways. This practical workshop will support practitioners to identify how to create and use their own bags.

Learning Objectives:

  • Explore what Busy Bags are
  • Look at how Busy bags can be used to support development in all areas across the EYFS
  • Explore ideas for Busy Bags

Also included: Resource pack including cards and activities to take away and help you get started.
